Sustainable Nantucket not only works to strengthen community and promote sustainability through our programs and projects, but also, perhaps most significantly, through our process.

We accomplish our objectives through cooperation and collaboration with staff and elected officials of the Town of Nantucket, other non-profits, and members of our community through our volunteer  Youth Council and our Green Council.

We are blessed in this community with an engaged and energetic group of seasonal and year-round residents from across a broad spectrum of ages and occupations. Sustainable Nantucket has worked hard to harness this energy in an manner that provides an effective structure while empowering our volunteer Councils to develop fresh, creative ideas and to see them through to fruition.
