Sponsor the Nantucket Farmers' and Artisans Market

Thanks to all for making our 2nd season of the Nantucket Farmers & Artisans Market a great success!

The Nantucket Farmers and Artisans’ Market was the brainchild of a group of local growers who recognized the need for an additional venue for their produce on the island.

NFAM is a program of Sustainable Nantucket designed as a forum to promote the island’s farming enterprises and to encourage cottage industries. We also aim to raise public awareness about farming practices, and the importance of buying local goods and of eating locally-grown food. Sustainable Nantucket strives to make the Nantucket’s Farmers and Artisans Market a destination and a new island tradition for residents and visitors alike.

The 2009 Market will run for 16 weeks on Saturday mornings from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. from the end of June through mid October.  Stay tuned for confirmed dates and location for our 3rd season.

If you would like more information, to volunteer, or for a 2009 NFAM vendor application, contact tara@sustainablenantucket.org.

2008 funding for the market was provided in part to the MA Dept. of Agricultural Resources. We thank you for your support!
